ORDINANCE NO. 407
WEIGHT LIMITATIONS FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 4-6.801, ARTICLE 8,
TITLE 4 OF THE SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Amendment.
Section 4-6.801, Article 8, Title 4 of the San Juan
Capistrano Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Article 8-11. Commercial Vehicles Prohibited From
Using Certain Streets
"When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person
shall operate any commerical vehicle exceeding 12,000 pounds gross
weight at any time upon any of the streets or parts of streets
as described herein except that such vehicles may be operated
thereon for the purpose of delivering or picking up materials or
merchandise as described in Sections 35703 and 35704 of the
California Vehicle Code.
"(a) Sundance Drive Ortega Highway to Calle Arroyo
"(b) Windsong Drive Ortega Highway to La Novia
"(c) Trabuco Creek Road/ Rancho Viejo Road to its
Rosenbaum Road terminus at the northesterly
City Limits."
SECTION 2. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after its passage.
SECTION 3. Citv Clerk's Certification.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause same to be posted in the duly designated
posting places within the City of San Juan Capistrano within
fifteen (15) days after its passage.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of
June 1 1980, by the following vote, to -wit.

Mayor Hausdorfer
