Resolution Number 11-04-19-03RESOLUTION NO. 11-04-19-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO APPROVING THE ADOPTION AND SUBMITTAL TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMPETITIVE MEASURE M2 REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION SIGNAL SYNCHRONIZATION [2ZoZe]7.1►yiI WHEREAS, the Measure M2 Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program targets over 2000 signalized intersections across Orange County to maintain traffic signal synchronization, improve traffic flow and reduce congestion across jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano has been declared by the Orange County Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive revenues as part of Measure M2; and WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano has a currently adopted Local Signal Synchronization Plan consistent with the Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Master plan as a key component of local agencies' efforts to synchronize traffic signals across local agencies' boundaries; and WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano will provide matching funds for its portion of each project as required by the Orange County Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Procedures Manual; and WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano will not use Measure M funds to supplant Developer Fees or other commitments; and WHEREAS, the City of San. Juan Capistrano desires to implement multi - jurisdictional signal synchronization listed below; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds to the Cities of Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano, with the City of Dana Point as a participating agency WITH Mission Viejo, in the amount specified in the Lead Agencies' application to said Lead Agencies from the Regional Transportation Signal Synchronization Program to implement regional signal synchronization along the following streets: - Marguerite Parkway/Rancho Viejo Road Corridor (from El Toro Road to Via Escolar) - Del Obispo (from Ortega Hwy to Pacific Coast Highway) 41'1912010 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of April, 2011. ttLLEVATO, MA ORJ STATE OF CALIFORNIA } COUNTY OF ORANGE )ss.
