RESOLUTION N0. 63-5-20-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO OPPOSING ASSEMBLY BILL NO.
3027 RELATING TO REQUIRING RECORDING OF COUNCIL
PROCEEDINGS.
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill No. 30279 as introduced into the Statel
Legislature would require a qualified court reporter to record the
proceedings of all City Council and Planning Commission meetings;
and,
WHEREAS, the recording of such proceedings in such detail
would serve no useful purpose and would impose a costly burden upon
all of the taxpayers in the community; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, after due consideration, finds the
it would be in the best interests of the City of San Juan Capistranol
ito oppose passage of Assembly Bill No. 3027.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of San Juan Capistrano that it oppose and it does hereby oppose
Assembly Bill No. 3027 and does urge that it be defeated.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orange County Represen-
tatives in the State Legislature and the chairman and vice-chairman
of the Assembly Committee on Government Organization be informed of
the stand of the City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 1963s at
an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San
Juan Capistrano, by the following vote, to wit:
