Resolution Number 67-9-5-1RESOLUTION N0. 67-9-5-1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO REQUESTING AIR MAIL SERVICE FOR THE CAPISTRANO VALLEY AREA WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano became a municipality April 19, 1961; and WHEREAS, prior to that time aviation and airport activity of sorts was experienced in the area; and WHEREAS, expansive development of that activity and airport facility has been in progress; and WHEREAS, that airport facility has now been issued a permit license from the appropriate State agency; and WHEREAS, there is a qualified bidder desirous of providing airmail service and the City of San Juan Capistrano has been contacted by that qualified bidder, and therefore emphasizes this request as being necessary and appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby recognize and request that the Postal Department consider Air Mail service to be initiated to and from this airport facility. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall be directed to the Postal Department in San Francisco and San Juan Capistrano, the communities of Dana Point, Capistrano Beach, South Laguna, and the Cities of San Clemente and Laguna Beach.
