RESOLUTION NO. 67-5-29-4
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER
DIEM WAGE AND THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE FOR
LEGAL HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN SAID CITY
FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES OF WORKMEN
Assessment District No. 66-1
WHEREAS, this City Council has, by its Resolution No. 67-5-29-3, ordered
certain work or improvement, said work or improvement being more particularly
described in its Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 67-4-24-6 as revised by
Resolution No. 67-5-29_1; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages (including employer payments for health and welfare, pension,
vacation and similar purposes) in the locality in which said work is to be per-
formed for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the contract for said
work, and this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal
holiday and overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of workman
needed to execute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano, California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the
general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which
said work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman needed to execute
the contract for said work is determined to be as follows, to wit:

than the hourly rate of the highest classification under his

Operators on all hoisting equipment with three (3) drums or
more, shall receive 15¢ per hour premium pay additional to the
regular rate of pay.
Operators on equipment with scrapers or dragtype shovels in
tandem shall receive premium pay of $1.00 per hour above the
regular rate.

Not less than one and one-half times the said prevailing or current rate of per
diem wages shall be paid for extra work performed by such laborers, workmen or
mechanics on Sundays, Legal Holidays and for work performed in excess of eight.
(8) hours in one calendar day, in such cases in which such overtime work is,
permitted by law.

Section 2. Said general prevailing rates shall be specified in the call
for bids for said contract and in the contract itself.
