Resolution Number 71-1-11-11 2 3 4 5 38'x', RESOLUTION NO. 71-1-11-1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO AUTHORIZING ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATING TO THE EXPANSION OF THE SEWERAGE TREATMENT FACILITIES. WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano, has heretofore en- tered into a tri -partite agreement with the Moulton -Niguel Water 6i District and the Santa Margarita Water District for the joint 7i 8 I'1 expansion and use of City's sewerage treatment plant and facilities; II, and 10 lI 12 13 14 15 16 17 i8 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 WHEREAS, the aforesaid agreement provides that the City shall be responsible for 10% of the costs of the said proposed expansion and the remaining costs to be allocated between the two Districts; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid agreement also requires the �,ater districts to deposit their share of costs in a special account established by the City; a_:d WHEREAS, LC'�%!RY ENGINEERING -SCIENCE, hereinafter. cal.:ed LES, which has prepared cost estimates for the aforesaic project, is prepared to embark upon the design phase thereof and estimates such costs to be: Total Estimates Cost, Technical, Legal, Adminis- trative and Grant Coordina- tion $ 242,000 City of San Juan Capistrano $ 24,200 Santa Margarita Water District $ 24,200 NOW THEREFORE, BE I: RESOLVED that: Moulton - Niguel hater District $ 193,:,00 1. The A6reei.—Lcn: for design services for the expa=nsion of City's Sewerage Treatment to a total capacity of 6.0 mbd average daily flow by and between LES and the City be and is herby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorizes _o e.xecut_ the same. 2. ie Director of Finance be and is aut:orizcd and directeL to esta'�-'_ish special accounts for the aforesaid -)roject in accordance) with the terms of the tri -partite agreement between the City, Moulton - Niguel Water District and Santa Margarita Water District. 3. The Director of Finance be and is further authorized and directed to request the payment of $24,200 from the Santa Margarita Water District and the sum of $193,600 from the Moulton -Niguel Water District, said sums to be deposited in the aforesaid special accounts.
