Resolution Number 70-4-13-5RESOLUTION NO. 70-4-13-5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO OPPOSING THE PACIFIC TELEPHONE COMPANY RATE INCREASE REQUEST. 26 5 WHEREAS, the Pacific Telephone Company through its local representative advised the City Council of its request for a rate increase before the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California in Case No. 51774; and WHEREAS, a full explanation of the needs of the Telephone Company were presented, including the expansion and cost problems involved as they affect the Capistrano Valley; and WHEREAS, the City Council was requested to pass a resolu- tion supporting such request; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that in its opinion the increase requested was totally unrealistic and not in the best in- terests of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano that it go on record and it does hereby go on record as being opposed to the request of the Pacific Telephone Company for a rate increase before the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California in Case No. 51774. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Secretary of the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California.
