Resolution Number 70-2-24-2239 RESOLUTION NO. 70-2-24-2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO SUPERCEDING RESOLUTION NO. 69-12-22-3 AND RESOLVING TO TAKE NO OFFICIAL STAND IN THE MATTER OF THE DISSOLUTION OF THE ORANGE COUNTY HARBOR DISTRICT. WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 22nd day of December, 1969, the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano did pass its Resolution No. 69-12-22-3 declaring that it went on record as being unalterably opposed to any continous existance of the Orange County Harbor District and declaring itself in favor of the immediate dissolution thereof; and WHEREAS, since the date of said resolution, the City Council has attended many meetings on the subject and has digested considerable information in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, it is now the position of a majority of the City Council that it is in the best interests of the City of San Juan Capistrano and of the County of Orange that the City of San Juan Capistrano take no stand as to whether or not the Orange County Harbor District should be dissolved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano that it go on record, and it does hereby go on record that it will take no official stand as to whether or not the Orange County Harbor District should be dis- solved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution supercede and it does hereby supercede and replace Resolution No. 69-12-22-3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolu- tion be forwarded to each member of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange and to the Orange County representatives in the State Legislature advising them of the fact that the City of San Juan Capistrano takes no official stand as to whether or not the Orange County Harbor District should be dissolved.
