Resolution Number 71-7-12-3RESOLUTION NO. 71-7-12-3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO EXPRESSING ITS OPPOSITION TO THE CHANGE IN TAX BILL FORMAT WHEREAS, heretofore, County tax bills have listed the tax for each taxing and bond agency individually; and WHEREAS, on May 4, 1971, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange approved a change in format and has authorized the County Tax Collector to itemize tax bills under the following four headings: Education, County, City and Special Districts; and WHEREAS, to lump the tax rates for all special districts into a single designation is to hide basic information from the taxpayer. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council does hereby express its opposition to the itemization of tax bills under Education, County, City and Special Districts, and urges the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to reconsider and rescind their action of May 4, 1971, authorizing such action.
