Resolution Number 74-12-18-2RESOLUTION NO. 74-12-18-2 INCLUDING CAMINO CAPISTRANO IN THE AHFP A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOP- MENT OF CAMINO CAPISTRANO FROM SAN JUAN CREEK BRIDGE TO 200 FEET NORTH OF DEL OBISPO STREET WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano desires to improve Camino Capistrano from San Juan Creek Bridge to 200 feet north of Del Obispo Street; and WHEREAS, Camino Capistrano is an important artery in the County of Orange and of general County interest; and WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any city, in the improvement, construction of repair of a street within a city; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1975-76 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to said City from County funds, the amount of $70,000.00, said amount to be matched by funds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Camino Capistrano from San Juan Creek Bridge to 200 feet north of Del Obispo Street, and for the acquisition of necessary rights-of-way; said improvements and acquisition of rights-of-way to be in accordance with the attached project statement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights-of-way on Camino Capistrano, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that by this Resolution, the City of San Juan Capistrano agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highway Financing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights-of-way will be available for the Fiscal Year 1975-76.
