RESOLUTION NO. 74-2-4-1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO URGING THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF
ORANGE TO PURCHASE THE STARR RANCH.
WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano borders the Starr
Ranch and is vitally concerned with its preservation and use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Juan Capis-
trano believes that the natural attributes and beauty of the Starr
Ranch can be best preserved and maintained by the County of Orange
as a regional park or other use beneficial to the citizens of the
entire county.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby respectfully urge that
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange authorize the imme-
diate acquisition of the Starr Ranch.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and is
hereby directed to communicate the essence of this resolution to each
member of the Board of Supervisors prior to its regular meeting on
February 5, 1974.

1974, by the following vote, to wit:
