Resolution Number 73-7-9-37 RESOLUTION NO. 73-7-9-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO DIRECT THE AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT TO ESTABLISH MONITORING STATIONS IN SOUTHERN ORANGE COUNTY. WHEREAS, the pollution of air appears to be an ever-increasing menace to cities in Southern Orange County; and WHEREAS, the nearest air pollution monitoring station is located in Irvine, California, and is not capable of accurately measuring the quality of air south of the Mission Viejo community; and WHEREAS, this City Council deems it imperative to have such a monitoring station in an appropriate location in Southern Orange County, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange be and is hereby requested to establish an air pollution monitoring station to be manned by the Orange County Air Pollution Control District in a location suitable for the moni- toring of air i -n that part of Orange County lying southerly of Mission Viejo. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk be and is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors as well as to all cities located in Southern Orange County.
