A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO REQUESTING THE LOCAL
AGENCY FORM1ATION CON,D;ISSION TO AMEND ITS
ORDER OF JUNE 27, 1973, RELATING TO THE RANEY
ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, Aidan A. and Mary E. Raney, the sole owners of the
territory described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, have heretofore
petitioned the Local Agency Formation Commission for permission to
'annex said territory to the City of San Juan Capistrano; and
WHEREAS, Section 54797.1 of the Government Code empowers said
Commission to authorize the City of San Juan Capistrano to undertake
such annexation proceedings without notice, hearing or election; and
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1973, the said Local Agency Formation
Commission approved the annexation, but was, by inadvertance, not
requested to authorize said proceeding without notice, hearing, or
election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby respectfully request the Local
Agency Formation Commission to permit the aforesaid annexation to pro-
ceed without notice, hearing and election, all in accordance with
Section 54797.1 of the Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk be and is hereby auth-
orized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the
Executive Office of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
County.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of July, 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:

To the Honorable City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano
In accordance with the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939, Government Code sections 35300-35326, the under-
signed respectfully represent that:
(1) We represent all of the land in the territory
hereafter described by area and by assessed value as shown
on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange.
(2) We ask that the territory be annexed to the City
of San Juan Capistrano.
The property proposed to be annexed is described in
Exhibit "A" attached to this petition and made a part of it
by this reference.
We consent to the taxation of the property in the
annexed territory to pay the indebtedness and liability of
the city contracted prior to or existing at the time of the
annexation.

Beginning at the most Northerly corner*of land described in the deed to
Cleo C. McCary and wife, recorded on May 2, 1952 in Book 2323, page
456 of Official Records of Orange County, California, being the most
northerly corner of Parcel "K", as shown on a Map filed in Book 2,
Page 38 of Records of Surveys of Orange County; thence South 190 56' 15"
West 700.00 feet along the Northwesterly line of said land of McCary
and Northwesterly line of said Parcel "K" to the most Northerly corner
of land described in the deed to Pomona College recorded on July 9, 1959, in
Book 4792, page 311, of Official Records; thence South 730 20' 12" East
1361.23 feet to the most Easterly corner of said land of Pomona College,
being a point on the Northwesterly line of Del Obispo Street, 60.00 feet
wide, as the Northwesterly half of said road is described in deed to the
County of Orange recorded on January 28, 1959, in Book 4565, page 471
of Official Records; thence Northeasterly along said Northwesterly line
of Del Obispo Street to the Northeasterly line of said land of McCary,
being a point in the Northeasterly line of said Parcel "K"; thence
Northwesterly to the point of beginning.
