Resolution Number 75-9-17-4-Me RESOLUTION NO. 75-9-17-4 SPEED LIMITS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS SET FORTH ON THOSE STREETS OR PARTS OF STREETS HEREON DESCRIBED WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey has been conducted to establish the prima facie speed limit that would facilitate the orderly movement of vehicular traffic, and would be reasonable and safe upon those streets or portions of streets herein described; and WHEREAS, it is established by Ordinance that the City Council may, by Resolution, designate speed limits within the City limits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following prima facie speed limit is hereby declared as hereinafter set forth on those streets or portions of streets herein designated: Declared Prima Facie Name of Street or Portion Affected Speed Limit Alipaz Street, between Camino Del Avion 35 MPH and Del Obispo Street Avenida Aeropuerto, between Camino Capistrano 30 MPH and San Juan Creek Camino del Avion, between Del Obispo Street 25 MPH and Alipaz Street Camino Capistrano, between southerly City 40 MPH Limits and San Juan Creek Road Camino Capistrano, between San Juan Creek 25 MPH Road and La Zanja Street Camino Capistrano, between La Zanja Street 35 MPH and Oso Road Camino Capistrano, between Oso Road and 40 MPH northerly City Limits Camino Las Ramblas, between San Diego Freeway 40 MPH and Avenida Calita Del Obispo Street, between southerly City 35 MPH Limits and Alipaz Street Del Obispo Street, between Alipaz Street 25 MPH and Ortega Highway Rancho Viejo Road, between northerly City 40 MPH Limits and Junipero Serra Road San Juan Creek Road, between Camino Capistrano 40 MPH and 500 feet east of Calle Cartagena BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer is hereby directed to place signs to provide notice of the afore- said prima facie speed limits. -1- 220 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon the adoption of the Traffic Ordinance.
