Resolution Number 76-12-15-7RESOLUTION NO. 76-12-15-7 SPEED LIMITS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISH- ING THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS SET FORTH ON THOSE STREETS OR PARTS OF STREETS HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 75-9-17-4 WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey has been conducted to establish the prima facie speed limit that would facilitate the orderly movement of vehicular traffic, and would be reasonable and safe upon those streets or portions of streets herein described; and WHEREAS, it is established by Ordinance that the City Council may, by Resolution, designate speed limits within the City limits; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that Resolution No. 75-9-17-4, adopted by the City Council on Septem- ber 17, 1975, should be repealed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following prima facie speed limit is hereby declared as hereinafter set forth on those streets or portions of streets herein designated: Declared Prima Facie Name of Street or Portion Affected Speed Limit Alipaz Street, between Camino Del Avion and Del Obispo Street 35 MPH Avenida Aeropuerto, between Camino Capistrano and San Juan Creek Road 30 MPH Camino del Avion, between Del Obispo Street and Alipaz Street 25 MPH Camino Capistrano, between southerly City limits and San Juan Creek Road 40 MPH Camino Capistrano, between San Juan Creek Road and Del Obispo 25 MPH Camino Capistrano, between Del Obispo and La Zanja 25 MPH Camino Capistrano, between La Zanja Street and Oso Road 35 MPH Camino Capistrano, between Oso Road and northerly City limits 45 MPH Camino Las Ramblas, between San Diego Freeway and Avenida Calita 40 MPH Del Obispo Street, between southerly City limits and Alipaz Street 35 MPH Del Obispo Street, between Alipaz Street and Ortega Highway 25 MPH Rancho Viejo Road, between northerly City limits and Junipero Serra Road 40 MPH San Juan Creek Road, between Camino Capistrano and 500 feet east of Calle Cartagena 40 MPH BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer is hereby directed to place signs to provide notice of the aforesaid prima facie speed limits.
