Resolution Number 76-8-4-8191 RESOLUTION NO. 76-8-4-8 PRESERVATION OF COASTAL AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, IN SUPPORT OF ASSEMBLY BILL 15 (WARREN) AND SENATE BILL 1277 (SMITH) WHEREAS, the people of the City of San Juan Capistrano desire the sound management and prudent use of existing coastal and agricultural land; and, WHEREAS, prudent legislation is a befitting means to preserve and protect valuable land resources; and, WHEREAS Assembly Bill 15 (Warren) provides methods for local entities to preserve prime agricultural land; and, WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1277 (Smith) is an effective vehicle to provide protection of California's coastline. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Members of the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano do hereby endorse Assembly Bill 15 and Senate Bill 1277 as the last practicable means to achieve sound land preservation, and urge the State Legislature to adopt both Assembly Bill 15 and Senate Bill 1277.
