NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the modifications to the National Electrical Code, 1978 Edition, recommended by the Supervisor of Building and Safety are hereby expressly found to be necessary on account of local conditions as follows: -1- 1. This amendment to Section 110-5 of the National Electrical Code states a preference for copper conductors, and requires that aluminum conductors, where expressly allowed by the National Electrical Code, be not smaller than #6 AWG in size. This amendment is necessary due to product studies for the locality which show that such minimum size is reasonably necessary because of local climatic and environmental conditions to avoid hazard or danger to the safety of persons or property. 7.
