RESOLUTION NO. 79-1-17-1
COMMENDING RICHARD F. NELSON
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING
RICHARD F. NELSON
WHEREAS, Richard F. Nelson was appointed as a member of
the Traffic and Transportation Commission on November 3, 1976;
and,
WHEREAS, Richard F. Nelson assumed the leadership
responsibility as Chairman of the Commission in April, 1978; and,
WHEREAS, Richard F. Nelson was instrumental in the
formulation and review of the Circulation Element of the General
Plan; and,
WHEREAS, Richard F. Nelson was involved in the review
and design of access and circulation routes for new developments
in the City; and,
WHEREAS, Richard F. Nelson made sound recommendations
regarding traffic signalization, speed zones, parking restrictions
and other traffic safety and regulatory devices; and,
WHEREAS, Richard F. Nelson showed a sincere concern for
the safety and welfare of all of the citizens of the community,
and promoted the goals of the City during his tenure on the
Commission until his resignation January 1, 1979.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the
City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano do hereby express
their appreciation to Richard F. Nelson in recognition of his
dedicated community service.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of
January 1 1979, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Hausdorfer, Schwartze, Thorpe,
Buchheim and Mayor Friess
