Resolution Number 80-4-2-2RESOLUTION NO. 80-4-2-2 GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 80-1 (VAN ROEKEL) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN FOR 30.42 ACRES LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF INTERSTATE 5 BETWEEN MARGUERITE PARKWAY AND VIA ESCOLAR WHEREAS, the City Council, at its regular meeting of August 15, 1979, initiated consideration of an amendment of the City's General Plan for the subject property consisting of a change in land use designation from 1.2 (Low Density Residential -- maximum 2 dwelling units per acre) to 5.0 (Public/Institutional Uses); and, WHEREAS, the City's Environmental Review Board has reviewed the proposal and determined that it may have a significant impact on the environment, has caused the preparation of an environmental impact report, and has otherwise carried out all requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, upon reviewing and receiving testimony at a duly advertised public hearing, has forwarded a recommendation of approval for General Plan Amendment 80-1; and, WHEREAS, the City Council, after conducting a duly advertised public hearing to receive and review public testimony on the petition, hereby finds and determines as follows: 1. The Environmental Impact Report effectively addresses the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan Amendment. 2. The proposed amended land use designation shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto is consistent with the overall goals and policies of the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council does hereby approve General Plan Amendment 80-1, changing the land use designation for the General Plan Amendment area shown on Exhibit "A" from 1.2 (Low Density Residential) to 5.0 Public/ Institutional Uses.
