Resolution Number 85-2-5-3RESOLUTION NO. 85-2-5-3 259 SPOTTED BULL ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE SPOTTED BULL AREA TO THE CITY WHEREAS, residents of the "Spotted Bull" residential area submitted to the Local Agency Formation Commission a petition requesting annexation of their neighborhood and surrounding properties to the City of San Juan Capistrano; and, WHEREAS, the residents' petition, supported by the City, requested annexation because: The Spotted Bull residents identify closely with the City; their address has been designated as "San Juan Capistrano" for many years. The annexation would square off the boundary between San Juan Capistrano and the County at Via Escolar. The area is already included within the City's subsidiary Capistrano Valley Water District; and, WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission, on January 9, 1985, approved the Spotted Bull annexation, as identified on Exhibit "A," attached hereto, subject to the condition that: "The City of San Juan Capistrano shall require the property owners to participate in the Major Thoroughfare and Bridge Fee Program as though the property were within the unincorporated area of the County." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a hearing is hereby set for March 19, 1985, at 7:00 P.M., in the City Council Chambers, 32400 Paseo Adelanto, San Juan Capistrano, to receive oral and written protests of the annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any interested person desiring to make a written protest shall do so in writing with the City Clerk not later than the hour set hereinabove for the hearing.
