Resolution Number 86-5-20-8RESOLUTION NO. 86-5-20-8 125 "NO ON DRUGS" DAY - MAY 22, 1986 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, EMPHATICALLY SUPPORTING MAY 22, 1986, AS NATIONAL "NO ON DRUGS" DAY WHEREAS, First Lady Nancy Reagan has proclaimed Thursday, May 22, 1986, to be national "No On Drugs" Day; and, WHEREAS, We strongly believe in the educational program to eliminate drug abuse, especially among high school students, but also among its victims everywhere in the world; and, WHEREAS, the wearing of a red ribbon has come to symbolize a commitment to these vital goals. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Juan Capistrano City Council emphatically supports May 22, 1986, as national "No On Drugs" Day. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in symbolic support of this effort, we encourage the wearing of a red ribbon on that day, and every day, to demonstrate our strong support for the War on Drug Abuse.
