Resolution Number 86-5-20-1RESOLUTION NO. 86-5-20-1V #1 7 COMMENDING EMILY JACKSON. LIBRARIAN A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING EMILY JACKSON, LIBRARIAN WHEREAS, Emily Jackson was appointed in 1980 to serve as librarian in San Juan Capistrano; and, WHEREAS, Emily Jackson has unselfishly given her time and talents to develop quality programs and a progressive image for the San Juan Capistrano Library; and, WHEREAS, Emily Jackson generously assists community groups such as Libros y Artes, Friends of the Library, and the Assistance League, in providing a variety of programs located at the library which enrich the community; and, WHEREAS, Emily Jackson has recently brought another honor to San Juan Capistrano in the form of a $97,000 National Endowment for the Humanities grant for a free public lecture series entitled, "Early California Reflections", which will be held from August through October and will feature many distinguished scholars. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano hereby commends Emily Jackson for her many personal achievements and the honor she has brought to the library and the community.
