"NO PARKING - TOW AWAY - 1:30
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING "NO
PARKING - TOW AWAY - 1:30 A.M. TO 2:00 A.M. - EXCEPT
RIDESHARE VEHICLES" ZONES FOR ALL STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DESIGNATED PARK AND RIDE PARKING LOTS ON PUBLICLY -
OWNED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF
THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Engineer has recommended that certain areas
herein described be designated as "No Parking - Tow Away - 1:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. -
Except Rideshare Vehicles" zones; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the public health, safety and
welfare will be promoted by designating the hereinafter -described areas as "No
Parking - Tow Away - 1:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. - Except Rideshare Vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, it is established by ordinance that the City Council may, by
resolution, designate certain publicly -owned property (or portions thereof) as "No
Parking - Tow Away - L:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. - Except Rideshare Vehicles" zones; and,
WHEREAS, publicly -owned Park and Ride lots shall be: Federal, State, County
or City -owned property (or any combination thereof), used for and recognized by the
State of California for ridesharing purposes; and,
WHEREAS, rideshare vehicles shall be: any automobile, van or bus used for
the purpose of transporting people to/from places of employment and are so designated
clearly on the outside of the vehicle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of San
Juan Capistrano that all publicly -owned property, recognized by the State of California
for ridesharing purposes, shall be designated as "No Parking - Tow Away - 1:30 a.m, to
2:00 a.m.- Except Ridehsare Vehicles" zones.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Traffic Engineer and/or the State
of California is hereby authorized to cause the appropriate curbs to be painted and/or
signs to be placed to provide notice of the aforesaid "No Parking - Tow Away - 1:30 a.m.
to 2:00 a.m.- Except Rideshare Vehicles" zones.
