Resolution Number 95-12-5-2162 RESOLUTIONNO. APPROVING 4_ CITY OF DANA POINT'SREQUEST 1' RELOCATION OF TWO EXISTING FREEWAY A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CITY OF DANA POINT'S REQUEST FOR RELOCATION OF TWO EXISTING FREEWAY DIRECTIONAL SIGNS WHEREAS, with the completion of the Stonehill Drive extension, the City of Dana Point has three arterial gateways to their community; and, WHEREAS, the City of Dana Point has requested the City of San Juan Capistrano's assistance in properly identifying access routes from the freeway; and, WHEREAS, appropriate directional signage will reduce traffic congestion, promote and enhance public safety; and, WHEREAS, it is the City's economic interest to enhance the regional business climate in the tri -cities area; and, ' WHEREAS, Caltrans has requested City of San Juan Capistrano approval of the changes prior to relocation of signage within City limits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby approve as follows: SECTION 1. The relocation of the southbound "DANA POINT CITY LIMITS" sign from its current location to just prior to the Camino Las Ramblas off -ramp. The change of text from "CAPISTRANO BEACH NEXT 2 EXITS" to "DANA POINT NEXT 3 EXITS". -1- 163 SECTION 3. The relocation of the above mentioned sign from just before the southbound Camino Las Ramblas off -ramp just before the southbound Camino Capistrano off -ramp (formerly San Juan Creek Road).
