A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE HOURS FOR WHICH
DEPOSITS ARE COLLECTED BY METERED PARKING - CAPISTRANO
DEPOT NORTH PARKING LOT AT 26701 VERDUGO STREET
WHEREAS, commuter use of the San Juan Capistrano rail station requires the
utilization of existing long-term parking spaces for commuter vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the 1995 Downtown Parking Study Update recommends cost recovery
for providing, maintaining, repairing, operating, regulating and policing of such parking facilities by
a metering system; and,
WHEREAS, the City approves a lease for long-term parking spaces in the Capistrano
Depot North Parking regulated by metering system; and,
WHEREAS, the San Juan Capistrano Municipal Code Section 4-4.04 requires the
City Council to set the hours which such deposits are required for metered parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of San
Juan Capistrano as follows:
SECTION 1. Hours of Collection.
The operation of parking meters or collection devices shall be effective between the
hours of 6:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday including holidays.
SECTION 2. Effective Date.
This Resolution shall be effective on February 20, 1997, or 30 days after the second
reading of the Amendments to the parking meter Ordinance.
