Resolution Number 97-1-7-8RESOLUTION NO. 97-1-7-8 Ir"41"ICL020V 141P] 1401 DI • �1 1 '1 1' I� 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE RATES FOR METERING DEVICES IN THE CAPISTRANO DEPOT NORTH PARKING LOT - 26701 VERDUGO STREET WHEREAS, commuter use of the San Juan Capistrano rail station requires the utilization of existing long-term parking spaces for commuter vehicles; and, WHEREAS, the 1995 Downtown Parking Study Update recommends cost recovery for providing, maintaining, repairing, operating, regulating and policing of such parking facilities by a metering system; and, WHEREAS, the City approves a lease for long-term parking spaces in the Capistrano Depot North Parking Lot regulated by metering system; and, WHEREAS, the San Juan Capistrano Municipal Code Section 4-4.05 requires the City Council to set rates for metered parking. — NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano as follows: SECTION 1. Parking Meter Fees. The rates for parking meters or collection devices installed to control and regulate tong -term parking in the Capistrano Depot North Parking Lot shall be twenty-five cents ($0.25) per hour with two dollars ($2.00) per day maximum between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. every day except Saturday and Sunday. Use of these spaces shall be limited to passenger vehicles only. SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective on February 20, 1997, or 30 days after the second reading of the Amendments to the parking meter ordinance.
