ESTABLISHING "NO STOPPING ANYTIME" AND "NO PASSENGER
LOADING OR UNLOADING" ZONES - SPRING STREET/EL CAMINO REAL
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING "NO STOPPING ANYTIME"
AND "NO PASSENGER LOADING OR UNLOADING" ZONES ON THE SOUTH
SIDE OF SPRING STREET EAST OF EL CAMINO REAL
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Engineer has recommended that certain areas herein
described be designated as "No Stopping Anytime" and "No Passenger Loading or Unloading"
zones;and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the public health, safety and
welfare will be promoted by designating the hereinafter described areas as "No Stopping Anytime"
and "No Passenger Loading or Unloading" zones; and,
WHEREAS, the California Vehicle Code Section 22507 gives wide-ranging power
to local authorities to, by ordinance or resolution, create a program to prohibit the stopping, parking
or standing of vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the ordinance or resolution may contain provisions which are
reasonable and necessary to ensure the effectiveness of the program; and,
WHEREAS, it is established by Ordinance that the City Council may, by Resolution,
designate certain streets or portions nf streets as "No Stopping" zones.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of San
Juan Capistrano that the following streets or portions thereof shall be designated as "No Stopping
Anytime" and "No Passenger Loading or Unloading" zones:
Spring Street, south side, from El Camino Real east 600 feet, for eastbound traffic
