Resolution Number 98-12-1-8405 RESOLUTION NO. 98-12-1-8 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 94-12-6-5. THE CITY'S PERSONNEL CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN AND AMENDING THE CITY'S PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS - FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 CLASSIFIED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 94-12-6-5, THE CITY'S PERSONNEL CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 97-8-19-3, THE CITY'S PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS (FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING - SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano is authorized and directed under the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations to adopt and amend a Personnel Classification and Compensation Plan in order to administer the City's Personnel Management System; and, WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding has been entered into between the San Juan Capistrano City Employees Association and the City; and, WHEREAS, the City now desires to amend the Personnel Classification and Compensation Plan and the Personnel Rules and Regulations in order to implement the provisions of said Memorandum of Understanding, and to provide similar compensation for part-time employees; and, WHEREAS, the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations provide that adoption or amendment of the City's Personnel Classification and Compensation Plan and the Personnel Rules and Regulations shall be made by resolution of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council ofthe City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby amend Resolution No. 94-12-6-5, the City's Personnel Classification and Compensation Plan as set forth in Attachment "A" and Attachment "B" (Salary Schedule) attached hereto; and, amend Resolution No 97-8-19-3, the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations, as set forth in Attachment "C." The benefit level remains at 2/3 of salary. Section 7.12 - Lowering the threshold for sick leave cash out from 396 hours to 288 hours. 3. Section 7.05 - The exchange of Lincoln's Birthday for New Year's Eve Day. 4. Section 6.22 - Adding the following language: Classified employees who occasionally receive phone calls outside of their regularly scheduled working hours from stand-by personnel or personnel on an emergency call -out, to get supervisory direction, shall receive a minimum of 30 minutes of regular pay for each phone call.
