RESOLUTION NO. 01-5-1-2
INSTALLATION OF EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND TEMPORARY STOP SIGNS
AT JUNIPERO SERRA ROAD AND 1-5 SOUTHBOUND RAMPS
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND
TEMPORARY STOP SIGNS ON JUNIPERO SERRA ROAD AT THE 1-5
SOUTHBOUND RAMPS
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Engineer has recommended installation of
temporary stop signs for vehicles as herein described; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the public health, safety
and welfare will be promoted by installation of stop signs for eastbound and westbound
vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, it is established by Ordinance that the City Council may, by
Resolution, designate certain intersections at which vehicles are required to stop; and,
WHEREAS, Caltrans, which has jurisdiction of this intersection, is agreeable
to this installation and has issued an encroachment permit to the City to perform this work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
San Juan Capistrano does hereby approve the installation of eastbound and westbound
temporary stop signs on Junipero Serra Road at the 1-5 Southbound ramps.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 1" day of May 2001.
