No EP is required from SMWD since the work is outside the public right-of-way and SMWD does not have any easements
over the private area where the work is to take place. I copied Lisa from the City to this email for SMWD’s clearance.

Thanks for taking a look at it. There dark line work has been completed and is not part of the scope. Please refer
to the site work document. All we are doing is replacing a light that was removed for the SDG&E work. There is
no work in the street or city sidewalk. It’s all within the HOA area. Please call me if you have any questions.

WORK.” Is any of the work going to be within the sidewalks or the public streets?
The site plans show a lot of dark line work crossing the public streets – it is unclear if this is new work or
existing conduit/wiring. Please confirm.

Thank you for taking my call today. As discussed, the City of San Juan Capistrano has approved
permit B25-0380, however, they are requesting email confirmation that a SMWD encroachment
permit is not required. I’ve attached the permit drawings, as well as a site layout for work for your
review. The work is entirely within the SDG&E right of way. Please confirm that a SMWD EP is not
required for the work.

Hi,
B25-0380 has been APPROVED and is READY TO ISSUE.
There are additional city fees due. Please see the attached invoice.
The invoice includes a refundable recycling deposit for $250.00 that will be returned to you
once the project is finaled and all of the appropriate documentation and receipts are submitted
electronically.
In order to pull your permit, the following items will need to be provided at permit issuance:
1. SMWD Enroachment Confirmation – Please email SMWD to confirm if an
encroachment permit is required. If an EP is required, please provide copy of approved
EP. If an EP is not required, please provide email confirmation from SMWD that no EP
is required.
2. Invoice (Attached. Please print and bring in to pay with Cashier. City permit fees must
be paid the same day the permit is issued and may not be paid prior.)
3. City Payment - Check/Cash/Credit Card
