CULTURAL HERITAGE COMMISSION REGULAR ORGANIZATION:
Chair Perrigoue called the Regular Meeting of May 28, 2024, of the Cultural Heritage
Commission of the City of San Juan Capistrano to order at 4:35 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
CULTURAL HERITAGE COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Kristina Perrigoue, Anna Dickinson, Anne Ronan, and Jan Siegel.
COMMISSIONER ABSENT: Paul Lopez STAFF PRESENT: Laura Stokes, Principal Planner

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chair Perrigoue led the Pledge of Allegiance. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None CONSENT CALENDAR: Commission Action: Moved by Commissioner Ronan, seconded by Commissioner Dickinson, to approve consent calendar item C1 by a 3-0-1 vote.

CHC Action Minutes 2 May 28, 2024
NEW BUSINESS: 1. Introduction of Zone Variance (ZV) 24-002 and Grading Plan Modification (GPM) 24-014, Ayres Residence; a request to construct a single-family residence with an attached ADU and two-car garage located on a 3,515 square foot vacant lot at the
terminus of Andres Pico Road (Assessor Parcel Number: 124-201-01) (Applicant: Scott Ayres) (Project Manager: Justin R. Poley, Associate Planner). Justin Poley provided a staff presentation and responded to Commission questions on the introduction of the project.
Scott Ayres, applicant for the project, responded to Commission questions on the introduction of the project. The Cultural Heritage Commission provided comments and feedback regarding the
introduction of the project. backstaff noted that the item will return to a future Cultural Heritage Commission meeting for formal review. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Verbal Update discussion regarding preservation month (Project Manager: Laura
Stokes, Principal Planner). Sub Committee Members Ronan and Siegel provided a summary of the activities and attendance at the Preservation Month May 18, 2024 historic walking tours and
responded to questions about the event.
The Cultural Heritage Commission provided comments and feedback regarding the Preservation month activities, fundraising and outreach.

There being no further business Chair Perrigoue adjourned the meeting at 4:44 p.m. to
Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at the San Juan
Capistrano Community Center – 25925 Camino Del Avion, San Juan Capistrano. Approved on June 25, 2024.
