OPENING COMMENTS
The purpose of this visit was to conduct a joint consultation with plan check (C. Burranday) on the enclosure of the patio bar.
Upon arrival, the three detached doors for the patio bar were modified by installing hinges to these doors (become attached), and rodent
proofing were placed underneath the doors to eliminate all gaps.
Per plan check, the existing doors are approved to be used, informed M. Resnick (Owner) to make sure to close out the remaining cracks
and crevices around these doors.
Notification to this Agency or plan must be submitted if this facility decided to make further modification or replace these doors.

They shouldn’t have a bar inside the restaurant.

I was just checking in to see if the Rooftop Kitchen & Bar has obtained all approvals from OCHCA.
The owner just submitted plans to the City an said that OCHCA has approved everything but I wanted
to confirm.

Good morning Lisa,
Just wanted to give you an update on the patio bar.
Apparently, they did some changes to the enclosure of the bar, therefore we need to set up a consultation with
the plan check.
By the way, the owner said he will not put in a bar inside the dining area anymore.
I will keep you posted after our plan check consultation.

There is a possibility that they need to submit plan for the indoor bar if they want to put in one in the
other side of the dining area.
We will also have them get an additional permit for the existing patio bar as well.

It was a pleasure speaking with you earlier today. Please see the attached plans for
Ruby’s Diner, the former tenant at 31781 Camino Capistrano #301.
Rooftop Kitchen & Patio completed a tenant improvement without permits and has been
advised to submit plans to the City, OCFA, & SMWD.
Based on your review of the plans can you let me know if the applicant will be required
to submit to OC Health or if your approval still stands.
