Thank you, Clint Worthington Begin forwarded message: From: Clint Worthington Date: April 9, 2019 at 9:45:18 PM PDT To: bmaryott@sanjuancapistrano.org, BSiegel@sanjuancapistrano.org, Jeff.Ballinger@bbklaw.com Subject: South Coast Farms/Ecology Center #1 Dear Mayor Maryott, It has now been over six months since the Ecology Center signed the master lease with the City on the taxpayer owned Kinoshita property. The plans that were approved by the both the Planning Commission and the City Council, require handicap parking as State and Federal laws dictate. During the past six months, the Ecology Center has failed to meet any of the ADA handicap parking requirements. Below is a photo of the handicapped parking: This photo shows the handicap sign in the bucket of concrete that fails to meet the sixty inch minimum height requirement for a handicap parking sign. In addition, it fails to meet any of the ADA requirements for the blue handicap parking striping as the pavement contains no striping at all. Where in the world is the City over sight for a project on taxpayer owned property? Why has the City allowed this to go on without any corrective action ? As a physically handicapped person, I have been discriminated against as I am unable to use facilities on taxpayer owned property as they fail to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. If corrections are not made by close of business on April 12, 2019, I will have not alternative but to take any and all legal action deemed necessary for the discrimination that I have experienced. Sincerely, Clinton R.
