AGENDA PLANNING COMMISSION Regular Meeting October 13, 2020 The public will be able to attend the October 13, 2020 Planning Commission meeting in person. Please be advised that seating will be limited to maintain a minimum six-foot (6’) distance between attendees. Additionally, attendees are advised to adhere to California Department of Public Health and County Public Health Care Agency guidance with respect to the wearing of a mask or face covering. Executive Order N-29-20 also allows this meeting to be conducted by teleconference, as specified below. To help prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the City encourages the following: 1. View the Planning Commission meeting live at the City’s website http://sanjuancapistrano.org/Important-Links/City-Council-Archived-Meetings. This is especially important if you, or someone you have had direct contact with, has traveled internationally to a country experiencing COVID-19, if you have tested positive or are experiencing flu-like symptoms, if you are over the age of 60, or if you have underlying health conditions. 2. Participate during the Oral Communication/Public Comment portion of the agenda by calling the public comment line at (949) 493-1172 at the beginning of the meeting. Individuals will be placed in a queue until it is their time to speak. The public may also speak by requesting to be called during the meeting. To make this arrangement, please contact the Secretary at least an hour prior to the meeting at sklotz@sanjuancapistrano.org or (949) 443-6334. 3. Consideration of Sign Permit (SP) 20-019 & Sign Program (SP) 20-025; Del Obispo Shopping Center Monument Sign and Sign Program Update: a request for review of a monument sign and an updated sign program to allow for an increase in the square footage of the building mounted signage at 31876 Del Obispo Street (APN 668-241-21). The applicant concurrently is seeking a sign exception request to allow for the building mounted signage to exceed the maximum sign area permitted by the Land Use Code (Project Manager: Paul Garcia, Associate Planner).
