23-0321_BLENHEIM FACILITY MANAGEMENT_PowerPoint_F1aSixth Amendment to Riding Park Management Agreement Item F1a March 21, 2023 2 Background •February 2021:City Council authorized release of a request for proposals for long-term lease of the Riding Park property •September 2021:City Council and community received presentations from Frontier Real Estate Investments and The Ridland Group on their proposals •December 2021:City Council selected The Ridland Group and directed staff to begin long-term lease negotiations 3 Proposed Sixth Amendment •Current Management Agreement expires March 31 •Staff recommends the City Council authorize extension of the Management Agreement through June 30,2023 •Escalating monthly payments: •April 1,2023 -$40,000 •May 1,2023 -$60,000 •June 1,2023 -$80,000 4 Staff Recommendation •Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Sixth Amendment to the Riding Park Management Agreement with Blenheim Facility Management for operation of the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park; and, •Find that said action is exempt from CEQA under State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301. 5
