Attachments r 1 • O i kr June 1, 1987 San Juan Capistrano City Council 32400 Paseo Adelanto l San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 Dear Sirs: My name is John Clifton and for the past six years I have / y been leasing approximately 120 acres of land from - John Lacouague for grazing cattle. Most recently I have been paying Dividend Development for the use of the space. It is my understanding that most of the land that I have been leasing will be passing in fee to the City of San Juan Capistrano upon the filing of the final tract map. I would like to take this opportunity to request that I be allowed to continue my lease arrangement with the City while you are deciding the ultimate fate of the land. I have come to know this property very well and have been responsible for maintaining the water supply and fencing. It is beautiful, but rugged terrain with many deep and dangerous canyons that can't be used for much other than grazing cattle. Most importantly it is land that can provide a serious fire danger to homes which will be built adjacent to it if the brush is not kept under control. Cattle are one of the best brush controllers on the face of the earth. I believe that I have been a caring and conscientious caretaker and would continue to do so if you would give me the opportunity. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, X John Clifton P.O.
