1991-1112_DIEVERS, RONALD_Employment Agreement0 EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT This employment agreement is made by and between the City of San Juan Capistrano, hereinafter referred to as City, and Ronald C. Sievers, hereinafter referred to as Employee. Whereas, City has offered employee the position of Director of Public Lands and Facilities for the City of San Juan Capistrano; and Whereas, Employee desires to accept said position; Now, therefore, be it mutually resolved between City and Employee as follows: 1. City hereby offers the position of Director of Public Lands and Facilities to Employee, and Employee hereby accepts said position. The salary shall be effective July 1, 1991. This is an executive position with the City, established by City Council resolution, effective July 1, 1991. 2. City shall provide employee with vehicle for business use and portal-to-portal transportation. 3. Employee shall serve as an "at will" employee; that is, Employee may be terminated without cause at any time after Employee's sixth month of service. City will provide Employee a severance benefit equal to three full months of Employee's salary. 4. City will make the full contribution; that is, both the Employer and Employee shares, to the Orange County Employees Retirement System. 5. City will provide comprehensive family health care coverage, including medical, vision and dental coverages, which City provides to other employees. City will provide life insurance with a policy value of two times the annual salary paid to Employee by City. City will provide long term disability to Employee in same manner offered to other City employees. 6. Except as otherwise specified in this agreement, terms and conditions of employment specified in the City's Municipal Code and Personnel Rules and Regulations shall apply. 7. If, at any time, Employee is required to relocate his residence to the City of San Juan Capistrano, City will pay to Employee relocation assistance up to a maximum limit of $10,000 for: a. Actual moving expenses; b. Closing costs of a home purchase; that is, normal escrow costs and loan points paid by buyer. EMPLOYMENT AGREE Page Two 8. This agreement contains the entire agreement between City and Employee. There are no other representations, agreements, arrangements, or understandings, oral or written, between City and Employee hereto relating to the subject matter contained in this agreement which have not been fully expressed herein.
