MEMORANDUM D 13
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members
FROM: Douglas D. Dumhart, Economic Development Manager
SUBJECT: Agenda Item D13 Chamber Agreement for Visitors Information Services
Since the publication of the September 7, 2004, Agenda and accompanying Agenda Report,
staff has received concern regarding language in the Chamber Agreement.
The concern was regarding Section 1. A. of the agreement requiring the Chamber to
maintain an office in the Downtown area. Being sympathetic to their financial well being,
staff has developed amendment language to provide the Chamber with the flexibility to find
more affordable office space, should they choose to do so while maintaining a downtown
presence.
Attached is a proposed amendment for the City Council's consideration.
