FROM: Douglas D. Dumhart, Economic Development Manager
SUBJECT: Consideration of Agreement with the Chamber of Commerce for Visitor
Information Services for Fiscal Year 2007-2008
RECOMMENDATION:
By Motion, approve the agreement with the Chamber of Commerce for visitor
information services for FY 2007-2008 in the amount of $27,040.
SUMMARY:
The City has been providing the Chamber of Commerce annual funding assistance to

agreement is provided as Attachment 1 to this report.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
• June 5, 2007
The Chamber of Commerce's position is that the cost of providing the visitors
information services is approximately $56,000 annually. They have submitted the
required quarterly reports outlining activities and expenses for the past year. The City
has been providing annual funding for the last decade.
Two cost drivers for visitor's information services expense are staffing overhead for the
visitor information center and inflation. To assist in bridging this gap, staff is
recommending a 4% COLA to the funding amount.
The Chamber of Commerce has agreed to execute the FY 07/08 agreement for visitors
information services in the amount of $27,040. Funding for the Chamber of Commerce
has been allocated in FY 07/08 budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
By Motion, approve the agreement with the Chamber of Commerce for visitors
information services for FY 2007-2008 in the amount of $27,040.
