SUBJECT: Memorandum of Understanding – County of Orange Recorders Office Online
Recording (SECURE G2G)
The City entered into an agreement with the County of Orange and SECURE G2G in 2019 to
record documents securely online.
SECURE G2G notified us that new 2020 Memorandum of Understanding needs to be
executed in accordance with AB 2143 and Department of Justice recording regulations that
went into effect January 1, 2020. The City Attorney’s office has reviewed the agreement
(email attached) and IT Services has confirmed and implemented required changes per the
new MOU.
Staff recommends that the City Manager sign the new 2020 Memorandum of Understanding
with the County of Orange and SECURE G2G to continue with secure online recording.
