CULTURAL HERITAGE COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
A. ORGANIZATION:
1. CALL TO ORDER:
The Chair called the Regular Meeting of the Cultural Heritage Commission of
the City of San Juan Capistrano to order at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council
Chamber.
2. ROLL CALL:
Commissioners Present: Lorie Porter
Anna Dickinson
Howard Newman
Ann Ronan
Janet Siegel
Staff Present: Sergio Klotz, Assistant Development Services Director
B. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
C. CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. Draft October 22, 2019 Cultural Heritage Commission Minutes. Approved
on a 5-0 vote.
D. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
None.
E. NEW BUSINESS:
None.
F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Continued verbal discussion to consider related programs during
preservation month in 2020 (Chair Lorie Porter).

Adoption of Motion
Commissioner Ronan made the motion, seconded by Commissioner
Dickinson, to propose to the City Council a program that will have three to
five activities in stations and banners. The motion passed by a 5-0 vote.
AYES: Commissioners Porter, Dickinson, Newman, Ronan and
Siegel.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
Commissioner Porter made the motion, seconded by Commissioner
Siegel, to appoint Commissioner Ronan as the new Ad-hoc committee
member, replacing Commissioner Porter. The motion passed by a 5-0
vote.
AYES : Commissioners Porter, Dickinson, Newman, Ronan and
Siegel.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
Commissioner Siegel made the motion, seconded by Commissioner
Ronan, to display the Street Banner along Camino Capistrano May 11 -
18 with Saturday, May 16, 2020 the event/activities. The motion passed by
a 5-0 vote.
AYES: Commissi0ners Porter, Dickinson, Newman, Ronan and
Siegel.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN : None.
G. COMMISSION/STAFF COMMENTS:
None.
H. ADJOURNMENT: to Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers.
