CULTURAL HERITAGE COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
A. ORGANIZATION:
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Vice Chair Bonney called the Regular Meeting of the Cultural Heritage
Commission of the City of San Juan Capistrano to order at 4:30 p.m. in the City
Council Chamber.
2. ROLL CALL:
Commissioners Present: William Bonney, Vice Chair
Mechelle Lawrence Adams
Lorie Porter
Commissioners Absent: Donna Friess
Rhonda DeHaan
Staff Present: Sergio Klotz, Assistant Development Services Director
B. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Mr. Howard Newman, City resident.
C. CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. Draft November 27, 2018 Cultural Heritage Commission Minutes. Approved
on a 3-0 vote.
D. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
None.
E. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Continued Consideration of a verbal discussion and report by the Ad Hoc
group to consider a banner and related program during preservation month
in 2019.
Commissioner Lawrence-Adams reported that the Ad Hoc group did not
meet to consider a banner and related program during preservation month
in 2019. Cultural Heritage Commissioners provided comments and
feedback and decided due to time constraints, to continue the item until
CHC Action Minutes 2 March 26 2019
next year in order to consider preservation month in 2020. No action was
taken.

There being no further business, Vice Chair Bonney adjourned the meeting at
4:58 p.m. to Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
