A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 09-12-01-09 AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING ANY TIME"
PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON PORTIONS OF VILLAGE ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Engineer has recommended that portions of Village
Road be designated as "No Parking Any Time" zones, as herein described; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the public health, safety, and
welfare will be promoted by designating the hereinafter described portions of the publicly-
owned Village Road as "No Parking Any Time" zones; and,
WHEREAS, the California Vehicle Code provides that parking restrictions on
public streets may be established by resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO does RESOLVE AND ORDER as follows:
1. Resolution No. 09-12-01-09 establishing parking restrictions at various locations
on Village Road is repealed in its entirety.
2. Portions of all other prior resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict and no further.
3. The following portions of Village Road are established as "No Parking Any Time"
zones:
a. The northwesterly side from Rancho Viejo Road to the southerly end of
Lakeview Road.
b. The southeasterly side from Rancho Viejo Road to Marina Road.
c. Each side of the Road at intersections with the private streets for distances
of 20 feet from the beginnings or ends of the semicircular arcs of the curbs
to the private streets, and including the portions of the semicircular arcs of
the curbs to the private streets within the Village road right-of-way being 60
feet in width.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August 2019.
