SECTION 13 - UTILITY RELOCATIONS
In accordance with Section 5-1 of the Specifications, the Contractor shall determine the location and depth of all
utilities, including service connections, which have been marked by the respective owners and which may affect
or be affected by its operations. The Contractor shall receive no direct compensation for this work. Accordingly,
full compensation for such work should be prorated to the appropriate bid items.
Utility relocations may be necessary during this construction contract. The various utilities have indicated that
the following notifications and work schedules are necessary:
1. Silver Creek Drive
Utility Facility Advance Notification Time for Utility Work

existing house services and,
if necessary, will lower them
to 1-foot bellow bottom of

Water Main Line These utilities have indicated

It is not anticipated that relo-

3. Mission Hills Drive
Utility Facility
Pacific Bell New Line Pacific Bell has indicated that it will
construct new underground facilities
within the area of Rancho Viejo Road
and Mission Hills Drive. The contractor
shall allow for this utility work to precede
the street work.
The Contractor shall allow in his bid for all costs to accommodate this work into his construction schedule. The
Contractor shall receive no direct payment for accommodating this work. Accordingly, these costs should be
prorated to the appropriate bid items.
The Contractor shall notify the utility in writing of the work required with copy of the letter to the City Project
Manager.
