DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE
Regular Meeting December 8, 2016
A. ORGANIZATION
1. CALL TO ORDER: 4:30 p.m.-City Council Chamber
2. ROLL CALL: Chair Rob Williams, and Committee Members Stan Braden and
Gerald Muir.
B. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
Persons wishing to address the Governing Body on city business that is not listed on
the agenda may do so at this time. Persons wishing to address the Committee on any
item that is listed on the Agenda should submit a Request to Speak form to the
Secretary. Forms are available at the entrance to the Council Chamber. The Chair
Person will call forward speakers during consideration of each item.
Please limit all comments to 3 minutes.
C. CONSENT CALENDAR:
Items listed on the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by
one motion and one vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items. If
discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and will
be considered separately.

E. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Continued Consideration of a request for Review of the Retaining Wall Design
for the Del Obispo Street Widening Project (Applicant: City of San Juan
Capistrano)(Project Manager: Paul Meshkin, Senior Civil Engineer).
2. Continued Consideration of Code Amendment (CA) 14-006, Architectural
Control (AC) 14-033 & Conditional Use Permit (CUP) 14-018, Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints Meetinghouse, review of development plans for a
new church facility located on Vista Montana on the north side of Vista
Montana, northwest of the corner of Avenida La Pata and Vista Montana (APN
664-251-28)(Applicant: Scott Smith)(Project Manager: David Contreras, Senior
Planner).
F. NEW BUSINESS:
1. Consideration of Sign Permit Program (SP) 16-024 for Plaza Del Obispo, an
existing shopping center located at 31878 and 31882 Del Obispo Street
(Assessor Parcel Number 668-241-22) (Applicant: Mark Kuwahara)(Project
Manager: Mathew Evans, Contract Planner).
