DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE
Regular Meeting February 9, 2017
A. ORGANIZATION
1. CALL TO ORDER: 4:30 p.m. -City Council Chamber
2. ROLL CALL: Chair Rob Williams, and Committee Members Stan Braden and
Gerald Muir.
B. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
Persons wishing to address the Governing Body on city business that is not listed on
the agenda may do so at this time. Persons wishing to address the Committee on any
item that is listed on the Agenda should submit a Request to Speak form to the
Secretary. Forms are available at the entrance to the Council Chamber. The Chair
Person will call forward speakers during consideration of each item.
Please limit all comments to 3 minutes.
C. CONSENT CALENDAR:
Items listed on the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by
one motion and one vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items. If
discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and will
be considered separately.

None.

E. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Continued Consideration of Sign Program (SP) 16-024, Plaza Del Obispo, an
existing shopping center located at 31878 and 31882 Del Obispo Street
(Assessor Parcel Number 668-241-22) (Applicant: Mark Kuwahara)(Project
Manager: Mathew Evans, Contract Planner).
F. NEW BUSINESS:
1. Consideration of Sign Permit (SP) 16-022, Monument Sign for Shell Station at
Ortega, Installation of a new identification/price monument sign with LED
lighting to replace the previous monument sign (Project Manager: Mariel
Angeles, Contract Planning Technician).
2. Consideration of Conditional Use Permit (CUP) 16-002, Franciscan Gardens, a
request for minor modifications to the exterior fayade of the Provincial Building
commercial and office structure located at 31815 Camino Capistrano (Applicant:
Phillip Bennett on behalf of 24 Carrots Catering and Events) (Project Manager:
Mathew Evans, Contract Planner).
