Regular Meeting June 28, 2016
A. ORGANIZATION
1. CALL TO ORDER: 4:30 p.m. -City Council Chamber
2. ROLL CALL: Chair Mechelle Lawrence Adams, Vice-Chair Nathan Banda , and
Commissioners Rhonda DeHaan, Lorie Porter and Christie Smead.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
B. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
Persons wishing to address the Governing Body on city business that is not listed on
the agenda may do so at this time. Persons wishing to address the Commission on
any item that is listed on the Agenda should submit a Request to Speak form to the
Secretary. Forms are available at the entrance to the Council Chamber. The Chair
Person will call forward speakers during consideration of each item.
Please limit all comments to 3 minutes.
C. CONSENT CALENDAR:
Items listed on the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by
one motion and one vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items. If
discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and will
be considered separately.
1. Draft May 24, 2016 Cultural Heritage Commission Minutes .
The City of San Juan Capistrano complies with the
Americans with Disabilities Act. Persons with special

48 hours in advance to enable the City to make
reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility.

1. Consideration of a new development adjacent to structures identified on the
Inventory of Historic Cultural Landmarks (IHCL), De La Rosa Residence; a new
one-story single family residence including a 2-car garage and basement with
terraced retaining walls facing Andres Pico Road to be no taller than 3', located
at 31331 Andres Pico Road, APN: 124-201-25 (Geoff Sumich, Geoff Sumich
Designs) (Applicant: De La Rosa Residence)(Project Manager: Lindsay Ortega,
Contract Planner).
2. Consideration of establishment of Cultural Heritage Commission's 2016-2017
Goals (Project Manager: Sergio Klotz, Assistant Director).

1. Upcoming Cultural Heritage Commission meeting schedule for July and August.
H. ADJOURNMENT: to Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers.
