SUBJECT: Professional Services Agreement for 2018 Summer Trolley Lease, Operations, and
Maintenance Services (Professional Parking, Inc.)
On May 1, 2018, the City Council approved and authorized
the City Manager to execute a Professional Services
Agreement ("PSA") with Professional Parking, Inc. for an
amount not -to -exceed $145,000 for trolley lease, operations,
and maintenance for the proposed 2018 summer trolley
service. Attached is the proposed PSA with Professional
Parking, Inc.
In order to maintain a strong level of ridership, an aggressive
promotion of the service to both residents and visitor -serving
businesses is underway. Informational materials are currently
being printed and will be distributed at community events and
displayed at City facilities beginning as early as next week.
Electronic message boards have also been secured and will be
used to display informational messages beginning Monday,
June 4 (trolley service begins Friday, June 8). Additionally,
the City's trolley service banner has been updated and will be
placed at the intersection of Del Obispo Street and Camino
Capistrano on May 21, 2018.
