Regular Meeting April 5, 2017 A. ORGANIZATION
1. CALL TO ORDER: 5:00 p.m. – City Council Chamber 2. ROLL CALL: Committee Members Kathleen Abney, William Drewes, Jess Lopez, Joanne Marquez, and Ann Ronan
B. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
Persons wishing to address the Governing Body on city business that is not listed on
the agenda may do so at this time. Persons wishing to address the Commission on
any item that is listed on the Agenda should submit a Request to Speak form to the
Secretary. Forms are available at the entrance to the Council Chamber. The Chair
Person will call forward speakers during consideration of each item.
Please limit all comments to 3 minutes.
C. CONSENT CALENDAR:
Items listed on the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by
one motion and one vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items. If
discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and will
be considered separately.

Committee Member Marquez motioned for approval of the consent calendar items, and committee member Lopez seconded. Approved 3-0 with Committee Members Drewes and Ronan abstaining due being new Committee members and not reviewing the minutes.

None. E. NEW BUSINESS:
1. Reorganization of the Housing Advisory Committee: Selection of Chairman, Vice Chairman (Project Manager: Laura Stokes, Housing Coordinator / Assistant Planner and Secretary of the Housing Advisory Committee).
Committee Member, Ann Ronan, nominated Joanne Marquez for Chairperson,
which was seconded by Committee Member Lopez, and passed by a 5-0 vote. Committee Member, Ann Ronan, nominated Kathleen Abney for Vice Chairperson, which was seconded by Committee Member Lopez, and passed by a 5-0 vote.
H. COMMISSION/STAFF COMMENTS: Staff provided a summary of the past Rent Control Hearing process, and outcome.
Staff provided a summary of the Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program and its
status. Staff provided details regarding the duties of the Housing Advisory Committee.
Staff provided a summary of the Little Hollywood Program and its status. I. ADJOURNMENT: Adjourned to the next regular meeting April, 2018 or when necessary to be held in the City Council Chambers.
