18-0117_SIEMENS INDUSTRY, INC._Staff Memo MEMORANDUM DATE: January 17, 2018 TO: Ben Siegel, City Manager Steve May, Public Works and Utilities Director FROM: Tom Toman, Assistant Public Works Director SUBJECT: LED Conversion Project - Labor and Installation Contract(Siemens) On January 16, 2018, the City Council approved Resolutions that authorized the City Manager to execute agreements necessary to acquire, install, and finance a new street lighting system. Specifically, the Council approved Contract Documents and Specifications with Siemens Industry Inc. for the LED Street Light Conversion Project (the "Installation Contract"), and approved a separate Equipment Lease Agreement with Siemens Financial Services Inc. to govern the procurement and financing components of the Project. The Installation Contract is ready for signature and is included at Attachment 1. The Equipment Lease Agreement is currently being finalized by the City Attorney's Office, in coordination with Siemens Financial Services, and will be ready shortly for signature. Additionally, the Installation Contract has been registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and the remaining construction/contract documents (e.g. Bond Forms, Insurance, W-9 etc.) are being prepared by Siemens Industry, Inc.
